Possible Side Effects: Cephalexin is usually well tolerated. Lack of appetite, vomiting, or diarrhea may occur. Some pets may experience drooling, rapid breathing, rashes, excitability, or high fever but this is rare. A true allergic reaction is also possible in some pets. Other side effects are possible. If your pet appears ill in any way, alert your veterinarian immediately. Drug and Food Interactions: Always tell your veterinarian about any other medications or supplements your petis taking before starting Cephalexin. Aminoglycosides (gentamicin, neomycin), amphotericin B, and probenicid may interact with Cephalexin. Other drug interactions may occur. Precautions: Do not use in animals who are allergic to this class of antibiotics.
